Rough Tor (pronounced Row-tor), see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rough_Tor, is a small Hill in Cornwall with views across Northern Cornwall. I climbed it on a family trip many years ago, but it was great to do it again. There are various stone formations that date back to iron age times, and a memorial for the 43rd Wessex.
We also dropped in at the Bodmin railway, where a 56xx class GWR prairie tank was in steam.
That was the end of Cornwall for us… one amazing thing that we both commented on was the massive amounts of green power generation. Lots of wind turbines (100s), and acres of solar panel farms. It is a beautiful part of England that we both enjoyed very much.
